About Us
Our Vision
To build a community of excellence where children with autism receive the highest quality of evidence-based care, families feel supported and empowered, and future educators and clinicians are inspired to advance the field through compassion, integrity, and lifelong learning.
Our Mission
Our mission is to improve the lives of children with autism and their families by providing early and equitable access to evidence-based treatment within a positive, supportive learning environment. Our individualized programs are designed to be effective, compassionate, and lead to meaningful, lasting outcomes.
Our Values
At The Autism Centre of Toronto (TACT), our work is grounded in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Guided by science, driven by compassion, and strengthened through collaboration, we are dedicated to achieving meaningful outcomes for every child and family we serve.
-
We rely on the best available scientific research and the proven principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to guide every aspect of our work. Our commitment to evidence ensures that each program is effective, data-driven, and responsive to each child’s individual needs.
-
We approach every child and family with empathy, respect, and understanding. We celebrate each small step forward and create a supportive environment where children feel valued, safe, and motivated to learn.
-
We believe that true progress happens when families, educators, and clinicians work together. Through open communication and teamwork, we build strong partnerships that empower families and foster consistency across all learning environments.
-
We focus on what truly matters: helping children develop skills that enhance their independence, confidence, and quality of life. Every program is designed with purpose, ensuring that the progress achieved is lasting and life-changing.
